Credential Status
Why can't I see the forum or the community?
The forum and the community are available to the members who have an "Active" status, meaning their certification had not expired.
How do I know if my certification had expired?
The certification is valid for five (5) years from the day you successfully completed the certification exam. Additionally, when you login to this portal, your certification status (Active or Expired) will be displayed on your dashboard.
Dashboard
What is the difference between Dashboard and Profile?
The Dashboard is only visible to you when you logged into your account. Your Profile on the other hand is visible to other members of the community. You can edit your name and contact information by visiting your Profile page.
Where can I see new courses or certification exams?
New certification or recertification exams, online courses, quizzes, programs, webinars and events that are available to you will appear directly on your Dashboard.
How do I change my name on my account?
There are two (2) names that can be changed in your account. The name under your photo that is visible to everyone when they visit your Profile page - this is your Username and it can be changed by clicking 'EDIT' under your photo on your Profile page. You're welcome to simply use your first name as your username, but it can be anything of your choice.
The full name on your account is only visible to you and can only be changed if needed by contacting our Support Team. This is your full name that should match your legal name that will go on your certificates and other documents.

How do I change my billing name on my account?
Your billing name can be different from your full name and username. It can be updated by clicking on 'My Stuff' in top right menu and selecting 'My Account'.
Where can I see my purchases?
Your billing information and all purchased offerings on this portal can be found in 'My Account'. Click on 'My Stuff' in top right corner menu and select 'My Account'.
Military Candidates
Why are my Start and End Dates different here from my CA account?
The CA system has its own Start and End dates that are selected by you (the candidate) and approved by the funding CA program, and will always range between two (2) weeks and one (1) year. The Romanov Academy credential portal automatically provides all candidates with one (1) year full access to the Certification Exam and six (6) month to the Recertification Exam regardless of other Start and End dates.
However, your Start Date on this portal will always match the Start Date authorized by your CA funding program and indicated in your CA student account. Additionally, you must complete your Certification or Recertification exams on this portal by the End Date authorized by your CA funding program and indicated in your CA student account to avoid recoupment.

I was approved by my CA funding program, how do I access the Certification Exam?
The approval is a multistep process that requires 3-10 business days from the moment of approval to funding processing, and from pending status to confirmed. Please check your email or contact us to inquire. We will send you several notifications via email and text messaging to keep you informed at every step of the approval process:
- You will receive a notification when your funding was approved and actually processed.
- You will receive a text notification and an email with your login information and access link on your official Start Date.
How do I claim my 10 Promotion Points?
Promotion points for Certifications are awarded to Soldiers competing for promotion to Sergeant and Staff Sergeant.

- Promotion points are awarded under civilian education on the DA Form 3355
- The original certification documents (the certificate of Credential that is awarded upon successful completion of the Certification Exam) must be presented to the promotion work center prior to the awarding of promotion points.
Here's additional information to keep in mind in regards to Certification(s):
- Ten (10) Promotion Points for each certification earned
- A maximum of 50 promotion points total are authorized for all your certifications
- However no additional promotion points are authorized for recertification
